The general purpose of the Lake Pleasant - Sacandaga
Association is to afford a representative voice in civic and community
affairs of interest to the property owners and residents of the area. The
Association was founded in 1953 by a group of lakefront property owners
who were concerned about a lack of representation in matters of common
interest.
The objectives were much the same then, as they are today, and the
membership has expanded
to include property owners off the lakes. The Association can point to
many years of accomplishments for the benefit of its members and the area
thru contributions of funds and efforts for beautification, environmental
issues, the Primary Care Center and other local causes. The Association
speaks out and supports many issues in accordance with its Objectives and
will continue to do so.
