Whether new to the area, or whether you've lived in Hamilton County for
years, you MUST have heard about us, may have even been a member at some
time! We have been addressing special issues related to the lakes and
surrounding area since 1953 when the Lake Pleasant - Sacandaga Association
(LPSA) was formed.
Whether the issues are the purity of lake water, jet skis, slalom courses
threatening canoes and quiet fishing holes, or any of the many problems
that high assessment/taxes bring to our lives, we have been representing
our members effectively. The lakes are the center of this community's
economics and tourism. Members who are second homeowners are grateful for
the support and fellowship of the Association.
We strive to provide unique benefits to our members! Through our 50 years
of involvement we speak up and act on matters of common interest. Examples
include special projects such as environmental issues, beautification and
the support of excellent local causes like the Primary Health Care Center,
the Pathway and the new Library.
Please join us now through a $10.00 individual membership or a $15.00
family membership. If you make LARGER contributions, you will
automatically also join our Lake Pleasant Sacandaga Foundation (LPSF),
which is a 501(c) 3 organization. Under IRS Rules any contribution made
above the basic dues is tax deductible.
Each year brings new challenges to the beauty and pristine quality of our
surroundings. This past year we faced the challenge of preventing the
invasion of Milfoil in our lakes by supporting the "Lake Stewart" project
in cooperation with the Town of Lake
Pleasant.
